Child Guidance Clinic

SBCHC’s Child Guidance Clinic, through our partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, provides high-quality, specialty mental health services to address the social, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs of children, adolescents and their families.

We strive to improve the emotional health and functioning of our clients by offering a full range of diagnostic and treatment services.

We rely on a synergistic team that includes Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist, a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist.

To maximize treatment outcomes, we use clinical interventions grounded in evidence-based best practices to effectively treat specific issues.

SBCHC has staff trained and certified in:

  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Triple P Parenting
  • Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP)
  • Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Seeking Safety

 Eligibility:

Children, adolescents, and young adults up to 21 years of age and their families who have Medi-Cal and meet severity criteria
