Our Mission at the South Bay Children's Health Center Dental Clinic is simple - we strive to eliminate dental disease in the underserved children of our local South Bay community.
We are committed to using the following methods:
- Education: Through oral hygiene instructions and diet/nutrition counseling to our parents and children in the clinic, at local schools, and at health fairs.
- Prevention and Early Intervention: Through oral screenings at local schools and placement of fluoride varnish
- Comprehensive Treatment Completion: Through providing a dental home that offers a full range of services at our clinic including: exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, fillings, root canals, extractions, and more. Our goal is to complete cases and keep patients in a routine dental care regimen.
THE CLINIC:
Our staff at the dental clinic is proud to offer the highest quality care in a modern, comfortable, bilingual environment. Our doctors are trained to treat both children and adults in all phases of dentistry including specialty care. We offer convenient appointment times and take pride in low waiting periods.
ELIGIBILITY:
We are happy to service infants to young adults, up to the age of 24, who are extremely low to moderate income per HUD guidelines. We welcome uninsured patients, as well as patients who have coverage under Beach Cities Health District, Denti-Cal and Access Dental/Healthy Families. Proof of insurance is required. Cash patients may be asked to show verification of income. For those that are uninsured, we offer extremely low fees that are determined by the treatment that is necessary. New patients can expect to receive a cleaning, comprehensive exam, x-rays, oral hygiene instructions and nutritional counseling, as well as fluoride treatment at their first visit. |
