Child Guidance

Our Child Guidance Clinic provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. The goal of service is to improve the emotional health and functioning of our clients by providing a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. We utilize a team consisting of psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists.  To maximize treatment benefits, we utilize clinical interventions that are evidence based in order to treat the specific issues presented by our clients.

ELIGIBILITY

Children and adolescents up to 21 years of age and their families who have Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, or AB3632 and meet severity criteria.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the mental health staff is guided by the principle of providing exceptionally high quality outpatient services to children and their families. The staff works with the whole family, children are not seen in treatment without the involvement of their parents or primary caretaker. After the assessment process, treatment is designed around each family's specific needs.

STAFF

The staff is committed to working with families in such a way as to allow them to understand, master and regain a sense of direction and growth within their lives. Therapy and consultation with others in the family's life are designed around this guiding principle to understand, contain, and redirect problems – while enhancing growth, potential, and awareness of choices in the family's life.
